SARAH JANE STONE LLAM

OVERVIEW

Sarah Jane (SJ) is the ultimate Triple Theatre Tutor, being trained and qualified in all three disciplines of Theatre – Singing, Dancing and Acting, plus directing and choreographing many productions.  She has her Licentiate Diploma in Acting from the London Academy of Music and Drama, and many singing and dance qualifications/awards. She has also several times won the Best Actress Award for her performances in the North West area.  She became a professional child performer at the age of 5, appearing with many stars over the years both on TV and on stage.

As an adult, Sarah Jane performed in many summer season runs and pantomimes, and successfully auditioned for the cast of 42nd Street on the West End. She has performed professionally on cruise ships around the Mediterranean and was also lead singer of a girl band trio.

Sarah Jane and her husband, formed their own theatre company, Premier Theatre Company, in 1995 following which she has staged, directed and choreographed numerous large scale musical and dramatic productions, including ‘Jane Eyre The Musical’, ‘The Producers’, ‘Stepping Out’ , ‘The Full Monty’ and a two- year concert tour of ‘An Evening of Smash Hit Musicals’. During this time, they raised over £100,000 for local and  national charities.

She has also played many leading musical and dramatic roles including Anna in ‘The King and I’, Florence in ‘Chess The Musical, Mother in ‘Ragtime’, Mrs Johnstone in ‘Blood Brothers’,  Lady Macbeth in ‘Macbeth’, Rita in Educating Rita,  Portia in The Merchant of Venice,  and rehearsal Titania in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ for the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Dream 2016 Tour.    She was honoured to be congratulated on her leading performance as Florence in ‘Chess The Musical’ by its lyricist, Sir Tim Rice, who attended the opening night.

For the past ten years, Sarah Jane has also been the critic/reviewer for community theatre in the North Fylde area for the Blackpool Evening Gazette.  She was also the choreographer for CRS Records in their production of children’s musical DVD’s and for five years was Musical Director for a local gospel choir.

Sarah Jane taught at Scream Theatre School in Blackpool for 3 years as their Vocal /Singing Tutor and private LAMDA drama and speech examinations .  Additionally, she also teaches adult fitness tap dance at venues across the Fylde.
